Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist in Morristown, NJ to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator. The role acts as the local patient care representative for the sales team and RCA, delivering hands-on support in a healthcare setting.

The APS conducts fittings, coordinates with prescribers and caregivers, and may require daytime, evening, or weekend hours. Travel to hospitals and homes is expected, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience.
• Clinical or engineering background which may include nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, catheterization lab techs, PAs, or ECG techs.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Completion of background check; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening.
• Willingness to pay an annual DME fee deducted from the completed work order.
• Ability to credential hospital systems and complete HIPAA/Bloodborne Pathogens/Electrical/Fire Safety courses.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator as part of the ASSURE Patient Specialist role.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure patients.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Accept assignments with daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Travel to hospitals and patients' homes for fittings and related services.
• Measure patients to determine garment sizes and manage kit inventory.
