Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. seeks a field-based Assure Patient Specialist to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator. You will travel to hospitals, clinics, and patient homes to ensure proper garment fit and complete essential documentation.

The role requires demonstrating patient care skills, coordinating with prescribers and caregivers, and maintaining inventory and compliance while supporting sales teams in the Saginaw, MI area and adjacent regions.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family care giver).
• Clinical or engineering background which may include nurses, cardiac device sales representatives, clinical engineers, cath lab technicians, physician assistants, or ECG technicians.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Background check required; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening funded by Kestra.
• Willingness to pay annual DME fee deducted from work orders.
• Ability to cover vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probationary period.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Act as a contractor ASSURE Patient Specialist to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in ASSURE patients.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Accept assignments including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Travel to hospitals and patient homes to provide fitting services.
• Measure patients to determine garment size and ensure proper fit.
• Manage paperwork to receive the ASSURE garment and services.
