Job summary

Snap Inc. seeks a Human Factors Specialist to advance wearability and user experience for next‑gen AR devices. You will run quantitative and qualitative studies, analyze ergonomic data, and develop instrumented prototypes in collaboration with design and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes measurement, rapid prototyping, and robust documentation to shape product decisions and ensure measurable wearability improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of human-subject research experience with wearable devices or consumer electronics.
  • Experience designing quantitative and qualitative studies, including data collection and interpretation.
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and engineering characterization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute studies to evaluate wearability, comfort, and user experience.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret ergonomic data (IPD, head shape, ear-to-forehead geometry).
  • Develop measurement methods and instrumented prototypes for wearables.
  • Integrate sensors (pressure, force, temperature, motion, eye tracking) into prototypes.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering to translate findings into requirements.
  • Document methods and findings to improve measurement quality.
