Job summary

SSAB in the United States seeks a Technical Sales Representative to grow wear parts and consultative wear services in defined regions. You will drive end-user sales, coordinate with Operations Managers, and promote SSAB’s product portfolio including Hardox. Travel up to 50% and collaborate on pricing and inventory strategies.

You will need a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in steel/mining/industrial sectors, with strong communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in steel, mining, industrial, recycling, or related field.
• 2+ years of sales experience in steel, mining, industrial, recycling, or maintenance repair.
• Strong verbal and written communication; highly organized.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with drawings, templates; basic CAD understanding.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; excellent customer service.
• Analytical, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Public relations and business development mindset.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Grow SSAB’s wear parts and consultative wear services.
• Sell parts and wear services to end users within geographic area; participate in marketing activities to penetrate the end-user market.
• Support and promote the sales of SSAB’s product portfolio, including Hardox and related wear services.
• Coordinate sales growth with Operations Managers and engage market influencers in key segments.
• Present SSAB offers to end users and aftermarkets to support growth plans for owned sites.
• Provide weekly activity reporting and feedback on pricing programs; assist in SSAB pricing strategy.
• Analyze competitors and products to position SSAB effectively.
• Forecast with purchasing to ensure proper inventory; support inside sales with RFQ on value-added parts.
• Disseminate product information and training to customers.
