Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Weapons Requirements and Architecture Engineer to join our Melbourne, FL or San Diego, CA campuses. This on-site role requires a Secret clearance and offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

You will develop, analyze and verify weapon systems requirements, architectures and interfaces while collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR Master’s degree with related experience; PhD with 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interfaces
• Experience in model-based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools (DOORS or Rhapsody)
• Must have Active US Government Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Perform MBSE and capturing requirements, interfaces, behaviors, structures and parametric
• Support mission engineering activities to ensure continuity between desired operational capabilities and delivered system performance
• Perform verification checks
• Develop technical system integration and verification plans and track progress
• Solicit input from stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to leadership
• Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans and tracking to closure
• Support System Engineering V activities with MBSE Digital Engineering and Agile design
• Assist with development, integration and test, flight test requirements verification and sustainment activities
