Job summary

DC Army National Guard recruits for the Small Arms/Artillery Repairer role. You will learn to maintain electronic systems for weaponry, receive paid training, and earn a paycheck while training. After service, opportunities in civilian electronic and avionics fields may open up.

Training includes Basic Training (10 weeks) and Advanced Individual Training (7 weeks), with classroom and field work. Eligibility requires enlistment in the Army National Guard.

Qualifications

• Learn electronic and mechanical principles and concepts.
• Interpret schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Operate electronic, electrical, and mechanical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electronic systems for Small Arms/Artillery to keep weapons firing.
• Participate in Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training.
• Develop skills for civilian electronic/mechanical roles after service.
