Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks Soldiers to serve as Small Arms/Artillery Repairers, maintaining the electronic systems that power weapons ranging from handguns and shotguns to sniper rifles and ballistic missiles. You will learn to diagnose, repair, and test complex weapon electronics and related subsystems to keep equipment ready for training and deployment.

Training is paid; 10 weeks Basic Training plus 7 weeks Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electronic and mechanical concepts.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Interest in working with weapons is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electronic systems for weapons to ensure reliability.
• Learn and apply diagnostics, repair, and testing procedures.
