Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Small Arms/Artillery Repairer to maintain electronic systems for weapons used on the battlefield. You will train through 10 weeks of Basic Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, earning a regular paycheck while gaining highly transferable electronic and mechanical skills.

The role offers paid training, tuition assistance, and long-term benefits while serving part-time or full-time as needed by the Guard.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electronic systems that keep weapons firing.
• Learn and apply electronic, electrical, and mechanical test procedures.
• Develop skills for civilian electronics, avionics, or missile facilities repairer.
