Job summary

Bennett Thrasher is expanding our premier wealth tax practice and seeking a Managing Director to lead strategy, people, and client growth in Dallas, TX. You will shape service offerings, pricing, and processes, while leveraging the firm’s resources to deliver sophisticated tax planning for UHNW clients.

You will recruit and mentor tax professionals, oversee complex returns, and ensure compliant, proactive wealth-building strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and CPA license required; advanced degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the premier wealth tax practice strategy, offerings, pricing, and growth targets.
• Build and guide a team of tax professionals to support growth of the service line.
• Foster strong client relationships with personalized wealth tax planning and compliant services.
• Oversee preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, and related entities.
• Collaborate with other firm wealth teams to share best practices and drive cross-sell opportunities.
• Develop efficient workflows, leverage tax tech, and stay updated on evolving tax laws.
• Establish KPIs, monitor progress, and report results to partners.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to firm-wide tax training.
