Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Senior Director of Product Consulting to lead a high-performing team focused on consultative wealth-management sales and advisor engagement. You will influence product strategy and drive growth across the Ameriprise advisor channel.

The role requires deep wealth-management expertise, strategic leadership, and strong collaboration with cross-functional partners to advance product distribution initiatives in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

10+ years in financial services with wealth management and consultative sales experience.
Minimum 4 years leading and developing sales professionals with proven performance.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
Active Series 7 and state securities registrations (S63/S66) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Active Series 24 or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop product consulting teams focused on increasing wealth management sales and advisor engagement.
Plan, prioritize, allocate, and monitor team activities to achieve objectives.
Recruit, coach, and develop talent including hiring, compensation, performance, and career growth.
Partner with senior leadership to establish strategic plans, goals, and marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with product management and field leadership to enhance advisor education and business results.
Gather advisor feedback and work with product partners on enhancements to address client needs.
Serve as a registered principal where applicable, ensuring regulatory and compliance adherence.
Represent the business through advisor training, webinars, conferences, and forums promoting product awareness.
