Mariner is seeking an Intern in Financial Planning to support advisors with onboarding, meeting prep, and plan delivery for high net worth clients. You will develop advisory skills, communication, and EQ through hands-on experience, while delivering exceptional client experiences.

You will work on data entry, plan modeling, and CRM-driven tasks, collaborating with the team on projects and client service initiatives during your degree program. Houston-based internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with graduation within 12 months.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
• Major in wealth management, financial planning, finance, or related field preferred.
• Interest in client-facing advisory career with business development focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding by preparing and processing paperwork.
• Schedule client meetings and create materials to explain concepts.
• Observe client meetings to learn relationship building.
• Support post-meeting tasks: documentation, research, solutions.
• Contribute ideas to improve client service and opportunities.
• Assist with account maintenance and money movement processes.
• Use planning and CRM software to aid plan development and data mgmt.
• Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with team on special projects.
