Job summary

NBT Bank in Minnesota is seeking a detail-oriented support professional for the Wealth Management Group, focusing on trust and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include processing fees, balance reporting, tax postings, and account maintenance, with strong emphasis on accuracy and client service.

Requires an Associates degree in business and 4+ years in trust/banking environments; proficiency in Word/Excel and trust accounting systems is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience.
• A minimum of 4 years experience in trust, banking, paralegal, accounting, brokerage or insurance environment.
• Experience in the securities and/or trust administration area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process fees, receipts and deliveries; post transactions to the Trust Accounting System; create and distribute reports and letters.
• Update spreadsheets; review transfer paperwork; adjust cost basis; perform daily balance with trust accounting vendor; open and close accounts.
• Process disbursement of cash from Trust Accounts to escrow; upload tax information files to web platforms; review charitable trust tax deposits on EFTPS.
• Provide excellent customer service and display professional telephone and communication skills when interacting with customers.
• Inventory Vault quarterly; ensure proper documentation as required by audit.
• All other duties as assigned.
