Job summary

Wiss Family Office in Florham Park, NJ, seeks an Operations and Controls Manager to lead daily wealth management operations, maintain controls, and partner with advisors, compliance, and leadership. Qualifications

• Approximately five to eight years of wealth management operations or related controls experience.
• Experience reviewing work for completeness, investigating exceptions, and ensuring remediation.
• Experience managing employees, workflows, and cross-functional projects with accountability.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, approvals, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Fidelity, Orion, CRM, document-management systems, or workflow automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily wealth management operations: onboarding, account opening, trade operations, account maintenance, transfers, distributions, and custodial workflows.
• Establish control framework for high-risk activities; ensure proper approvals and evidence.
• Lead and develop operations staff; ensure clear ownership and accountability.
• Partner with compliance and leadership on audits, risk remediation, and business continuity.
• Develop management reporting on risk, errors, and corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements using technology and automation.
