Job summary

State Bank is seeking an Investment Advisor to deliver brokerage and investment services, identify client financial needs, and recommend appropriate products. You will execute transactions and manage client relationships while adhering to regulatory and internal policies.

The role requires licensing and experience in brokerage, with a focus on risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and cross‑selling within the Bank. Travel within the bank’s footprint is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred; specialized insurance and financial services education and training; State Insurance/Health License; Series 6, 63 and 7 licenses (or ability to obtain and maintain).
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a brokerage, financial services, banking, or related advisory role preferred
• Strong knowledge of brokerage, investment, insurance, and trust products
• Working knowledge of FINRA, SEC, and applicable state regulations
• Ability to assess client financial objectives, risk tolerance, and suitability
• Strong client service, relationship management, and consultative sales skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail with strong documentation and record‑keeping abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and Bank information
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in computer systems and brokerage platforms
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required licenses and registrations
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Bank’s footprint

Responsibilities

• Provide brokerage and investment services to clients by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate products.
• Execute transactions in compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and manage client relationships and referrals to support production goals.
• Maintain licenses and registrations; promote Bank, trust, and brokerage services.
• Process customer activity, deposits, and check disbursements; ensure accurate records.
