Job description

Wealth Associate Family Wealth Management

Phoenix, AZ | $75,000$85,000 Base + Bonus

Ready to Get Out of the Back Office and Into the Room With Clients?

If youve spent the last few years building your foundation in wealth management but feel like youre ready for more client exposure, more responsibility, and a faster path forward, this could be the opportunity youve been looking for.

A growing Phoenix-based wealth management firm is looking for a Wealth Associate to join its team. This role is designed for someone with approximately 24 years of experience who has developed strong financial planning fundamentals and is ready to take the next step toward becoming a well-rounded, client-facing wealth professional.

Maybe youre currently with an RIA, family office, private bank, brokerage, or larger financial institution where your responsibilities are highly segmented. Youve learned a lotbut youre ready to do more than support the process from behind the scenes.

Here, youll have the opportunity to work directly with clients and families, learn alongside experienced wealth professionals, and gain exposure to multiple areas of comprehensive wealth management.

What Youll Do

As a Wealth Associate, youll work closely with senior wealth professionals while becoming increasingly involved in the client relationship.

Youll:

  • Support advisors across multiple client relationships and wealth management disciplines
  • Participate in client meetings and help prepare financial planning materials and presentations
  • Build relationships with clients and become a trusted resource for day-to-day questions and service needs
  • Assist with comprehensive financial planning and wealth management strategies
  • Coordinate meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up activities
  • Help manage client requests and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate client information, activities, and workflows within the firms systems
  • Work collaboratively with senior advisors while gradually taking on greater client-facing responsibility
  • Continue developing the technical and relationship skills necessary to grow your career in wealth management
What Were Looking For

Were looking for someone who has already built a solid foundation and is ready to take on more.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 24 years of wealth management or financial services experience
  • Experience within an RIA, family office, bank, brokerage, or similar financial institution
  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in Financial Planning, Finance, Wealth Management, or a related field
  • CFP designation or actively pursuing CFP certification
  • Experience supporting advisors and client relationships
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and wealth management fundamentals
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • A polished, professional, but authentic and personable communication style
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, advisors, and priorities
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence interacting directly with clients and building relationships

Series licenses are a plus.

Technology Youll Work With

Experience with every platform isn't required, but familiarity with wealth management technology will help you hit the ground running.

The firm utilizes:

  • eMoney for financial planning and client wealth analysis
  • Tamarac for portfolio management and reporting
  • Salesforce for CRM, client relationship management, and workflows
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365
  • Various financial custodian platforms

If you've worked with comparable financial planning, portfolio management, CRM, or custodian platforms, that experience is transferable.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

The biggest selling point is simple: you'll get in the room with clients.

At many larger financial institutions, someone with 24 years of experience can spend years working within one narrow piece of the wealth management process. You may support advisors and clients without getting meaningful opportunities to actually develop those relationships yourself.

This role is different.

You'll work alongside experienced wealth professionals while gaining direct exposure to clients and families much earlier in your career. You’ll learn how comprehensive wealth management comes togethernot just one piece of it.

If you're pursuing your CFP, you'll also have an environment where you can put that knowledge into practice every day.

Compensation & Growth
  • Base Salary: $75,000$85,000
  • Bonus Opportunity: Approximately 7%
  • Opportunity for increasing client responsibility as you develop
  • Direct mentorship and exposure to experienced wealth professionals
  • Long-term growth potential within family wealth management
Who Will Thrive Here?

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is smart, curious, polished, humble, and hungry to grow.

You're comfortable talking with clients, but you also know you still have plenty to learn. You don't want to spend the next several years stuck behind the scenes waiting for someone to give you an opportunity.

You want exposure. You want responsibility. You want to learn.

And ultimately, you want to become the kind of wealth professional that clients know, trust, and call when they need help.

If that sounds like the next step you're looking for, we'd love to talk.
