Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is seeking hospitality-driven team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced setting. You will engage with guests, manage reservations, and maintain a welcoming demeanor throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates are energetic, with strong English communication, a willingness to learn, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. OpenTable experience is a plus, and medical/benefits are provided for eligible hourly staff.

Competenze

• Fun, energetic, and work with a genuine care for the guest experience.
• Prior restaurant experiences is desired, but not required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Stand for long periods & be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• OpenTable experience is a plus.

• Interact with all guests and co-workers in a professional, hospitable, and friendly manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work. The proper uniform should be worn at all times including dress, make-up, hair, and jewelry.
• Properly accept and book reservations. When the guest’s desired time is not available, offer alternatives to ensure attendance.
• Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times; offer bar for cocktails when wait is long.
• Keep floors, entry, and aisles clean and debris-free.
• Assist in bussing tables when there is a wait or need a table.
• Provide guests with directions and assist as needed.
• Genuinely thank all departing guests and welcome new ones.
• Be familiar with restaurant information to answer questions or address concerns.
• Answer phone calls and fulfill needs; direct calls to proper departments.

Benefits

• Medical Insurance benefits are available for hourly workers who average 30 hours per week within 90 days of hiring or average 30 hours per week at the next open enrollment.
• 401k available after 1 year (12-month period with 1,000 hours of service) and must be 21 years or older.

• Properly accept and book reservations. When there is not the guest’s desired time available, offering an alternative time slot or option to ensure the guest joins us.
• Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times. When the wait is extensive, being sure to offer the bar for cocktails and appetizers before heading to the table for dinner.
• Keep floors, entry, and aisleways clean and free of debris.
• Assist in bussing tables, when we are on a wait or in need of a table immediately.
• Provide guests “right of way” and assist guests needing directions around the restaurant.
• Genuinely thank all departing guests for dining with us and welcome all guests joining us.
• Be familiar with all restaurant information to be able to answer any guest questions or address any concerns.
• Answer all phone calls and fulfill any guest needs; be able to place calls on hold when needed or direct the call to the proper department; communicate any important information to the managers on duty.
