Job summary

Whiskey Cake Tampa seeks friendly, energetic team members to greet and serve guests, uphold hospitality standards, and support both culinary and service teams. This hourly role emphasizes a positive guest experience in a fast-paced restaurant.

Applicants should be able to read, write, and speak English, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. Prior restaurant experience helps, OpenTable is a bonus, and growth opportunities exist within the company.

Responsibilities

• Interact with all guests and co-workers in a professional, hospitable manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, wear proper uniform.
• Serve food and drink in Whiskey Cake standards.
• Assist culinary team with necessary tools to serve items.
• Keep floors and aisles clean and debris-free.
• Assist with packaging and payment for To Go orders per cash procedures.
• Provide guests directions and information as needed.
• Thank departing guests and welcome incoming guests.
• Be knowledgeable about restaurant information to answer questions.

Skillful with the emotional aspects of the guest experience, our best team members connect with their guests more than just the specific details of the menus and leverage this information to deliver hospitality efficiently & quickly. Some may say they're in the restaurant business, at Whiskey Cake we are in the people business.

BENEFITS:

• Serve food and drink in accordance to Whiskey Cake Standards
• Assist culinary team in ensuring tools that are needed to properly serve items are readily available
• Keep floors, entry, and aisleways clean and free of debris.
• Assist with packaging, labeling and payment transactions for To Go orders in accordance to company cash handling procedures
• Provide guests “right of way” and assist guests needing directions around the restaurant.
• Genuinely thank all departing guests for dining with us and welcome all guests joining us.
• Be familiar with all restaurant information to be able to answer any guest questions or address any concerns.
• Answer all phone calls and fulfill any guest needs; be able to place calls on hold when needed or direct the call to the proper department; communicate any important information to the managers on duty.EOE
