Permanent Workers’ Compensation (WC) Defense Attorney at a boutique firm. Salary $130,000 - $185,000 per year. Full‑time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

1. Handle a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
2. Represent the interests of employers and insurance carriers throughout the state.
3. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in mediation conferences.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for trials.
5. Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court.
6. Represent clients in court and argue motions.
7. Communicate with clients, judges, and other attorneys in a professional manner.
8. Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
9. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Minimum 1 year of experience as a WC Defense Attorney.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. Proven track record of representing employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation cases.
