Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets seeks a Jr. WC Adjuster to support the Risk Management team in handling workers' compensation claims from intake through closure.

The role collaborates with the TPA, injured employees, medical providers, and store operations to administer medical and indemnity claims and pursue timely resolutions. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in Risk Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Safety, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in workers' compensation claims or related fields preferred.
• Experience with workers' compensation claims, claims management systems, medical records, or return-to-work programs preferred.
• Customer service, risk management, HR, or safety-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle claims intake and end-to-end reporting per SOPs.
• Respond to claims inquiries via Risk Management line and pre-screen potential claims.
• Coordinate with stores to report and manage workers' compensation claims.
• Assist investigation, analysis, and management of medical and indemnity claims under supervision.
• Support active claim management including follow-ups and document handling.
• Collaborate with TPAs, providers, employees, and internal stakeholders for info retrieval and return-to-work efforts.
• Support health and safety program administration and training initiatives.
• Assist with audit processes and safety program compliance (OSHA 300).
• Maintain safety performance metrics and generate management reports.
