Job summary

WHISKEY CAKE ROUND ROCK, LLC is seeking a bartender who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale service environment. You will craft cocktails, deliver exceptional hospitality, and engage guests with knowledge of our whiskey program. Prior high-volume experience and a passion for food and drinks are essential.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs, maintain required certifications, and work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• 2 years of upscale service experience preferred.
• Must love food and drinks with a deep interest in cocktails.
• Maintain Food Handler’s Certification and TABC Certification; follow sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be prepared to work.
• Maintain a clean bar area and properly assemble/dismantle the bar.
• Prepare drinks, garnishes, mixers, and syrups according to procedures and recipes.
• Assist guests with questions about the menu and beverages (liquor, beer, wine).
• Process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Support opening/closing duties and restock bar inventory as needed.
• Communicate issues to management promptly and work with team.

• Proper uniform should always be worn while in work areas.
• Assemble/dismantle the bar area according to proper procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the entire bar during shift.
• Prepare all drinks, garnishes, mixers, syrups, etc. according to the proper procedure & recipe.
• Assist guests with any questions or concerns about the menu. This includes continually studying and furthering your knowledge base including liquor, beer, and wine.
• Handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, according to company standards.
• Execute proper food delivery, placement, and removal at all tables.
• Communicate any questions or issues to the management team in a timely manner.
• Communicate and work together with coworkers and management in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• P erform appropriate opening and closing duties, including disassembling, cleaning, and sanitize workstations after every shift.
• Set up the team for the next shift for success.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and follow regulations regarding alcohol sale and service.
• Participate in any, and all, continuing education courses available to you.
• Maintain beverage inventory at proper serving temperatures and restock Service Bar with liquor, beer, wine, soft drinks, mixers, fruit, and necessary equipment prior to the end of each shift.
• Assist in washing and restocking glassware for bar drinks, and guest usage.
