Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin is seeking an Operator to support production by operating a variety of equipment and following work instructions. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure part quality, safe procedures, and productive culture.

Currently hiring for Y Shift: 5PM - 5AM Friday - Sunday. You will perform setup, run equipment, log data electronically, and maintain pace and quality per documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 years of machine operation experience.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand provided work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and practice 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
• Identify and escape potential safety risks on the floor.
• Operate equipment, independently or in a team, per the work instructions.
• Utilize electronic devices daily to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria and accurately log production numbers.
• Perform repetitive tasks as needed and maintain production pace and quality standards as specified by the applicable documentation to meet process metrics such as delivery, efficiency, and quality.
• Recognize and react to problems with equipment, elevate as required.
• Close attention to detail concerning product quality through visual criteria and escalate issues to appropriate personnel.
• Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools as necessary to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and parts.
• Work with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve problems with equipment.
• Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
• Place processed parts into containers and palletize per the work instruction and at specified quantities per the part tag.
• Other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs.
