Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is hiring for an Operator I to support production on the 3rd shift in the United States. You will operate various equipment, follow work instructions, and cooperate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and safety. Training on first shift is required initially.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies and 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Identify and escalate potential safety risks on the floor.
  • Operate numerous types of equipment, independently or in a team, per work instructions.
  • Use electronic devices to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria, in‑process quality checks, and log production numbers.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and maintain production pace and quality per documentation to meet delivery, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Recognize and react to equipment problems and escalate as required.
  • Maintain attention to detail regarding product quality and elevate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools to ensure proper position/movement of parts.
  • Work on raised platforms and coordinate with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve equipment issues.
  • Clean equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
  • Place processed parts into containers and palletize per work instruction and quantities per part tag.
  • Other duties and projects as needed.

Your Role on Our Team

The Operator I supports production by operating a variety of equipment to produce quality product per provided criteria and work instructions. This position is required to cooperate with other cross‑functional departments to ensure and maintain part quality, proper procedure execution, a safe and productive work environment, and culture standards. This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time.

Shift Hours: 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am --> must be able to train on 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm for the first few weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies and practice 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
  • Identify and escal ate potential safety risks on the floor.
  • Operate numerous types of equipment, independently or in a team environment, per the work instructions.
  • Utilize electronic devices (computer, iPad, etc.) daily to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria, in‑process quality checks, and accurately log production numbers.
  • Perform repetitive tasks as needed and maintain production pace and quality standards as specified by the applicable documentation to meet process metrics such as delivery, efficiency, and quality.
  • Recognize and react to problems with equipment, elevate as required.
  • Close attention to detail concerning product quality through utilizing visual criteria and elevate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools as necessary to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and parts.
  • Ability to work on a raised platform, safely Work with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve problems with equipment.
  • Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
  • Place processed parts into containers and palletize per the work instruction and at specified quantities per the part tag.
  • Other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs.
