Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, Virginia is hiring Wax Cell Operator(s) for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2pm-10pm) with training on 1st shift (6am-2pm).

The role includes pattern repair, gauging wall thickness, and assembling patterns for Monoshell, with an additional $1.00 per hour off-shift premium. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of experience or training, and be able to work all shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of continuous experience or training are required.
• Must be available for all shifts (including 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts) and able to work overtime.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Export-controlled data restrictions apply to employment offers.

Responsibilities

• Use and calibrate Ultrasonic Hand Gauge for wall thickness of .070 inches and greater.
• Gauge wall thickness with mechanical gauges.
• Read and follow work instructions and mold sheets.
• Pattern repair coming from injection; gauge and disposition patterns and rework as needed.
• Record data manually or by computer per instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
