Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Wave Solder Machine Operator in Olathe, KS. The role supports PCB assembly in a clean, climate-controlled electronics environment with daytime hours and a contract-to-hire path.

You will set up and operate wave solder equipment, monitor process quality, and work with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues while maintaining a safe, efficient work area. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience reading production instructions, blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing docs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for long periods.
• Open to entry-level candidates with mechanical/electrical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wave solder machines per schedules and specs.
• Monitor solder flow, temperature, and product quality.
• Load/unload PCB assemblies through wave solder system.
• Inspect assemblies for solder defects and maintain quality.
• Perform light maintenance on wave solder equipment.
• Document production records and quality data accurately.
• Collaborate with Process Eng, Quality, and Production to resolve issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean 6S-compliant work area.
• Use hand tools and small power tools safely.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability in soldering.
