Job summary

Barrett Distribution Centers in Memphis, TN is seeking a Wave Planner to manage wave releases and track progress to meet customer schedules. The role reports to Senior Wave Planner and involves collaboration with operations to ensure timely replenishment and orderly warehouse flow.

Your day includes refining the Wave Plan, generating reports, coordinating with floor teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. A strong grasp of WMS, Excel, and English communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in warehouse operations or related field.
• Wave Planning experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with WMS is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• English communication is essential; bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, analyzing, modifying and executing the Wave Plan to predetermine ship schedules and maintain workload balance.
• Prioritize daily schedule and create reports to monitor performance.
• Assist with management of pick tickets and release orders to the floor.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure replenishment and on-floor release of orders.
• Communicate with internal/external partners to resolve issues with management.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs.
• Evaluate systems and recommend changes to improve effectiveness.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
