Job summary

Kenco Group in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Wave Planner to schedule and coordinate efficient packaging and loading of customer inventory for distribution. You will release orders to the warehouse floor for packing and shipment, prioritizing waves and coordinating across departments to meet goals.

Ideal candidates have warehouse experience and strong MS Office skills, plus attention to detail and solid communication abilities. This full-time role requires accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience.
• Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• MS Office skills including data entry and typing ability.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to manage small project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Create and prioritize picking documentation into waves to meet shipment goals.
• Distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to departments.
• Prioritize work orders and documentation based on inventory and orders.
• Open and close trailer loads in systems to ensure accurate delivery.
• Dispatch prepared shipments to carriers.
• Update inventory and warehouse management systems.
• Research and resolve shipment errors.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
