Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Wave Planner to coordinate efficient packing and loading of customer inventory for distribution. This role plans and releases orders to the warehouse floor for packing and shipment, ensuring timely, accurate deliveries.

Responsibilities include creating waves, prioritizing schedules, and maintaining inventory integrity. Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication abilities to support smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
• At least six months in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Create and prioritize picking documentation into waves to meet shipment goals.
• Distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to departments.
• Prioritize work orders based on inventory levels and incoming orders.
• Open and close trailer loads/shipments in warehouse systems to ensure accurate delivery and inventory.
• Dispatch prepared shipments to carriers.
• Update inventory and warehouse management systems.
• Research and resolve shipment errors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
