Job summary

ICONIX Waterworks is seeking a detail-oriented Waterworks Estimator to support bid opportunities by preparing accurate Bills of Materials, recommending products, and delivering responsive customer service. You will review branch bid requests, determine required materials, and work with customers, branch teams, and vendors to ensure estimates reflect feasible solutions.

The role requires 2+ years in waterworks or construction, the ability to read drawings, and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Two+ years of experience in waterworks or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of waterworks products, materials and their applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and estimating systems.

Responsibilities

• Review bid requests to determine materials required for each project.
• Prepare Bills of Materials to support customer bids and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with branch personnel, customers, and stakeholders to clarify project specs and requirements.
• Provide customer service by answering inquiries and recommending waterworks solutions.
• Liaise with vendors for pricing, product availability and lead times to support accurate estimates.
• Maintain knowledge of products, standards and supplier offerings to keep estimates current.
• Support sales and operations teams with timely, accurate estimates.
• Build strong relationships with customers, branch teams and suppliers throughout the estimating process.
