Job summary

ICONIX Waterworks in Sacramento, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Waterworks Estimator to support bid-driven projects by preparing accurate Bills of Material, pricing, and recommendations. You’ll collaborate with branch staff, customers, and vendors to ensure timely, competitive estimates.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, clear communication, and a proactive approach to solving project challenges, with exposure to waterworks products and estimating systems.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in the waterworks industry or construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and computerized inventory or estimating systems.

Responsibilities

• Review bid requests to determine materials required for each project.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Materials to support customer bids and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with branch personnel, customers, and stakeholders to clarify project specs and expectations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in person and over the phone.
• Liaise with vendors for pricing, product availability, and lead times to support accurate estimates.
• Maintain knowledge of waterworks products and estimating principles to reflect best solutions.
• Support branch teams by delivering timely, accurate estimates and fostering relationships.
