Job summary

Birdon America Inc. is seeking a WCC Program Manager to oversee the Waterways Commerce Cutter program from planning through delivery.

You will coordinate a multidisciplinary team across engineering, supply chain, production, and quality to meet contractual commitments. The role requires a decade of program management experience in shipbuilding or related regulated sectors, PMP certification, and a proven ability to translate complex contracts into executable plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, program management, operations, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive program or project management experience in shipbuilding or similar complex environments.
• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams across engineering, supply chain, production, quality, finance, contracts, and test activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the WCC Integrated Program Team and establish clear roles, responsibilities, authorities, decision rights, and operating cadences across all program functions.
• Develop and maintain program strategy, PM Plan, Execution Plan, IMS, WBS, production sequence, and supporting plans.
• Align functional leaders and CM/Mgrs to baselines, commitments, and performance expectations.
• Chair reviews and maintain logs for actions, decisions, risks, and commitments through closure.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities to assigned program personnel.
