Job summary

Vetpride Services Inc. seeks a General Maintenance Worker for MOTSU, NC. The role maintains facilities, grounds, and marine infrastructure at Sunny Point, including waterside maintenance and operating small work boats.

You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related trades, and ensure safety compliance in a military terminal environment. Applicants must be 18+ and pass background, DMV checks, and drug screens.

Qualifications

• Perform maintenance from boats and floating platforms.
• Adhere to waterfront safety and marine operations.
• Must be 18+ and eligible for background and DMV checks.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Read, write, and speak English; work independently or with others.
• Able to work off ladders up to 16’ or with an aerial lift.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, warehouses, and facilities.
• Complete plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and mechanical repairs.
• Operate small vessels/work boats to support maintenance and operations.
• Maintain grounds, move office furniture, equipment, and materials as needed.
• Keep accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Ensure work areas comply with OSHA, DoD safety standards.
