Job summary

VetPride Services, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for MOTSU, Sunny Point, NC. The role supports maintenance of facilities, grounds, equipment and waterfront areas, including dock and vessel tasks, to ensure safe and reliable terminal operations.

The position requires basic trades skills, ability to work outdoors year-round, and compliance with safety protocols such as PPE and DoD/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read, write and speak English.
• One year or more of general maintenance or facilities experience.
• Must pass pre-employment background, DMV and drug screen.
• Ability to perform maintenance from boats or floating platforms.
• Regular outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on buildings, warehouses, and terminal structures.
• Repair basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and lighting as needed.
• Maintain roadways, grounds, and exterior facilities.
• Operates small vessels or work boats to support maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE in all activities.
