Job summary

San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) seeks a Programs and Operations Manager for the Alameda Creek Watershed Center in Sunol, CA. You will provide daily oversight, lead interpretive education programs, and develop partnerships to support watershed stewardship and equity.

The role requires supervising staff and volunteers, developing policies, and collaborating across divisions to enhance visitor experiences and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five (5) years of professional work experience coordinating or directing environmental stewardship, education or related community programs.
• California driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of ACWC to ensure a safe, welcoming visitor experience.
• Lead development and implementation of operational policies and procedures for visitor services and daily operations.
• Manage aquarium, exhibits, grounds, and community spaces to maintain high quality and safety standards.
• Direct care and organization of collections and interpretive materials.
• Coordinate safety, security, and emergency preparedness per SFPUC policies.
