Job summary

The Santa Fe Watershed Association seeks an Education Programs Manager to lead the My Water, My Watershed program, coordinating classroom instruction, field trips, and volunteer engagement with partners across Santa Fe. This role reports to the Director of Education and focuses on program quality, evaluation, and community impact.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, support teacher development, and ensure safe, engaging outdoor learning experiences in all weather, helping SFWA advance

Qualifications

• Experience managing educational, environmental, youth development, or community outreach programs.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Experience supervising staff, interns, volunteers, and/or educators.
• Ability to teach in outdoor learning environments and hike in the Santa Fe area.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and related tech.
• Flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MWMW program.
• Deliver classroom presentations and watershed activities.
• Coordinate field trips, logistics, volunteers, and stakeholder communication.
• Recruit, train, supervise staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Support teacher training and professional development.
• Collect and report program evaluation data.
• Support curriculum updates and annual reporting.
• Manage educational supplies and program resources.
• Assist with outreach events and community engagement.
• Perform administrative tasks to support SFWA goals.
