Job summary

I Love A Clean San Diego is seeking a Watershed and Waste Outreach Coordinator in San Diego, CA. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Director of Waste Recovery and supports the Waterscape Rebate Program with rain barrel education and community outreach.

Responsibilities include coordinating outreach booths, compost giveaways, and recycling education, plus event support and data tracking for contract reporting. Strong communication and public engagement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
• Valid California driver’s license; DMV record acceptable to ILACSD’s insurer.

Responsibilities

• Support the Waterscape Rebate Program and Rain Barrel Education – 45% of time.
• Coordinate and staff outreach booths for recycling, waste reduction education, and oil programs.
• Lead compost giveaway events and coordinate staff for outreach activities.
• Assist with monthly contract reports, data entry, and outreach summaries.
• Support Waste Recovery Department priorities at meetings and events.
