Job summary

A multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering and construction firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Waterproofing Consultant to expand its services in roofing and wall design engineering, as well as construction defect litigation support at the LA office.

Your day includes providing technical expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems for design, investigation, testing, and oversight of technical work, plus field investigations, diagnostic testing, and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering, architecture, construction management or related discipline.
• Expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems with envelope leak investigations, field testing, reporting, and construction administration (PE or RA license preferred).
• Experience in repair and reconstruction, design and project management of apartments, condominiums, and commercial/government buildings.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems for design, investigation, testing, and oversight of technical work.
• Performing field investigations and diagnostic testing for building envelope and moisture intrusion issues, preparing detailed reports, and managing construction administration activities.
• Managing repair and reconstruction projects for apartments, condominiums, commercial and government buildings.
• Supporting litigation efforts through mediation, deposition, arbitration and trial with a focus on plaintiff support, leveraging your network of local attorneys and insurance adjusters to grow the firm’s service offerings.

Your Day Includes:

Must Haves:

• Technical degree (Bachelor's or higher) in engineering, architecture, construction management or a closely related discipline
• Expertise in roofing, waterproofing and building envelope systems, including experience with envelope leak investigations, field testing, reporting, and construction administration (PE or RA license preferred)
• Experience in repair and re-construction, design and project management of apartments, condominiums, and commercial and government buildings
