Job summary

Watermark BR is seeking a part-time Room Service Server in downtown Baton Rouge to provide attentive, courteous service in the hotel’s outlets.

You will work under Outlet Supervisors and the Director of Food & Beverage, assisting with service, upselling, and cash handling while delivering a superior guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment.
• Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork.
• Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system.
• Answer the telephone according to standards.
• Consistently up-sell food, beverage and promotional items to guests.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist.
• Be familiar with the organization of the Restaurant(s), lounges, and Room Service and know the function of each job position.

Watermark BR, located beautiful downtown, is looking for part-time Room Service Servers, who would report to the Outlet Supervisors and Director of Food & Beverage. The Room Service Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.

Our one-of-a-kind hotel is a part of the Marriott's Autograph Collection and boasts of a historic classic design both inside and out. Built as Baton Rouge's first "skyscraper" in the 1927, our iconic building started out as the headquarters for Louisiana Trust & Savings Bank.
