Job summary

Watermark BR is seeking a part-time Room Service Server to deliver attentive and courteous service to guests in the Baton Rouge hotel. The role reports to Outlet Supervisors and the Director of Food & Beverage and requires knowledge of menus, POS operation, and cash handling.

The ideal candidate will be capable of upselling items, handling phone inquiries, and working as part of a fast-paced hotel team to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or hotel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
• Familiar with POS system and basic cashiering duties.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with the organization of the Restaurant(s), lounges, and Room Service; know the function of each job position.
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
• Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Be familiar with the operation of the POS system.
• Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties as assigned.
• Answer the telephone according to standards.
• Consistently upsell food, beverages and promotional items to guests.
• Receive and deliver food and beverage orders and collect payment.

Watermark BR , located beautiful downtown, is looking for part-time Room Service Servers, who would report to the Outlet Supervisors and Director of Food & Beverage. The Room Service Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field prepared.

Some of the essential functions of the position include:

• Be familiar with the organization of the Restaurant(s), lounges, and Room Service and know the function of each job position.
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
• Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system.
• Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork.

Built as Baton Rouge's first "skyscraper" in the 1927, our iconic building started out as the headquarters for Louisiana Trust & Savings Bank.
