Job summary

P in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Shop Assistant to support the service department by preparing equipment for delivery, sale, or demonstration and to transport equipment for delivery or pickup. You will assist with ground maintenance and keep records of pickups and deliveries, ensuring trucks and equipment stay in good repair.

Essential duties include cleaning equipment, assisting with setup and repairs, moving display items, and maintaining the shop and wash bay areas.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver license and a driving record acceptable for insurance.
• Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate vehicles and tools used in the dealership.
• Ability to communicate well and work with others, including independent work when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Support service by preparing equipment for delivery, sale, or demonstration.
• Transport equipment for delivery or pickup and assist with ground maintenance.
• Clean both inside and outside of equipment prior to delivery/pickup.
• Assist Service Specialists with setup and repairs.
• Move equipment on display and maintain records of pickups and deliveries.

• Coordinate pickups/deliveries between store locations and secure receipts.

Waterloo, IA - Shop Assistant*Job Function:Supports the service department by preparing equipment for delivery/pickup, sale, or demonstration purposes. Transports equipment for delivery or pickup.
