Job summary

P & K Midwest in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Shop Assistant to support the service department by preparing equipment for delivery, sale, or demonstration. You will transport equipment and assist with setup while performing basic maintenance and ensuring safe, efficient handoffs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record and basic knowledge of equipment handling. This is a full-time, on-site role in Waterloo.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver license.
• Driving record sufficient for insurance purposes.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance preferred.
• Basic ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used within the dealership.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow pre-delivery instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supports the service department by preparing equipment for delivery/pickup, sale, or demonstration purposes.
• Transports equipment for delivery or pickup.
• Responsible for ground maintenance.
• Picks up and delivers equipment, parts, and supplies for customers and between store locations.
• Maintains records of pick up and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts.
• Maintains assigned trucks and related equipment in good repair.
• Moves equipment on display as requested.
• Cleans shop area and wash bay area.
