Job summary

Truck Center Companies in Waterloo, IA seeks an experienced Body Shop Technician. The role requires inspecting trucks, diagnosing malfunctions, and advising on additional repairs before work proceeds. You will perform repairs, document labor, and road-test vehicles as needed while complying with safety and shop procedures.

Candidate must be able to obtain a CDL, lift 100 lbs, and use specialized body shop tools. Hand tools are also required to perform daily duties under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
• Must be capable of lifting 100 lbs.
• Must have knowledge and expertise in using and operating special body shop tools.
• Must have adequate hand tools to perform daily duties as prescribed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks per instruction sheet and determine required repairs.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions or customer complaints and advise costs.
• Perform repairs and document work on labor tickets.
• Punch labor tickets on time clock for each operation.
• Road-test vehicles when required and complete room for more tasks as requested.
