Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Production Manager to lead Waterborne Manufacturing operations in a NC facility. You will drive daily production, schedule adherence, and KPI performance while coaching Supervisors and operators.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cost control, with cross-functional collaboration across Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and EHS. A hands‑on leader, you’ll build a high‑performing team and ensure contingency coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, operations management, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive production background in a manufacturing environment, preferably coatings or chemicals.
• Strong knowledge of batch manufacturing processes, safety programs, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems and production planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple shifts.
• Execute production schedules to meet customer service, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Allocate labor, equipment, and resources to maximize safety, productivity, and efficiency.
