Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Water-Wastewater Treatment Operator in Commerce, GA. You will monitor treatment facilities, operate pumps and disinfection systems, collect samples, and perform routine lab analyses to support water quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with biology/chemistry/environmental science as preferred, and a valid driver’s license. CDL and state licenses are highly preferred or obtainable after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; biology/chemistry/environmental science degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred for some locations.
• License/certification in water or wastewater is highly preferred or willingness to obtain quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pumps, valves, motors, and disinfection systems to ensure safe facility operations.
• Inspect equipment, collect samples, perform routine testing, and conduct basic lab analyses.
• Record operational data (flows, chemical usage, equipment performance) accurately.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
• Respond to operational issues and on-call calls to restore service.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following procedures and policies.
• Follow safety, environmental, and operating procedures to protect staff and communities.
