Job summary

Inframark, located in Tifton, Georgia, is seeking a Wastewater Operator in Training to learn operating machinery, pumps, and related equipment at a water or wastewater facility. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a path to certification while contributing to reliable public utility services.

You will work across shifts, support testing and monitoring, document plant performance, respond to calls, and maintain safe, clean facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical: Basic knowledge of water/wastewater facilities and license progression.
• Communication: Clear and professional communication expected.
• Problem solving: Pays attention to details and resolves issues.
• Safety: Follows company policies & SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment including pumps, valves, motors and related machinery.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring and basic lab analyses.
• Documents plant performance, including flow, chemical usage and dosage.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Maintains clean, secure facilities and provides customer service when needed.
• Works across shifts, including weekends, holidays and on-call hours.
