Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains pumps, motors, compressors, dehumidifiers, and other components of water/wastewater systems and related facilities.
• Repairs and replaces water and sewer mains; joins and caulks pipe; repairs valves and hydrants.
• Excavates trenches and backfills using backhoe and hand tools.
• Operates vacuum truck to remove debris from storm sewer system.
• Inspects and cleans manholes; records readings and maintains logs.
• Reads data from gauges and meters; reports deficiencies to supervisor.
