Job summary

Baxter & Woodman seeks a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager in Houston or Katy, TX. You will oversee a team, manage small to large projects, and serve as client manager with strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities include driving scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical reports while ensuring quality. ABET-aligned degrees and TX PE licensure are required, with extensive experience in municipal water/wastewater design and project leadership.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited B.S. in Civil/Environmental Eng.
• Texas Professional Engineer license or reciprocity
• 5+ years PM/design experience
• 10+ years in consultant civil engineering
• Experience with water and wastewater projects
• Experience with municipal districts or local municipalities
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to travel across assigned areas

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Manage multiple water/wastewater municipal projects including plans and reports.
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings.
• Make independent project management decisions and provide engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with peers and management on efforts and ideas.
• Ensure design, specifications, and reports meet quality objectives.
• Develop engineering proposals with BD/marketing.
• Plan department workload and budget.
• Direct staff development and assign projects by skills.
• Monitor staff performance, client satisfaction, and QA/QC.
• Support staff evaluations and provide knowledge transfer.
