Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Client Manager to lead client relationships and project teams in Houston or Katy, TX. The role focuses on managing both small and large projects with multidisciplinary staff, while aligning with client expectations and company policy.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in client or project management, strong knowledge of local regulations, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in client management, project management, or design.
• Experience with municipal utility districts or local municipalities.
• Knowledge of TCEQ, City of Houston, and County regulations.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater systems.
• Broad knowledge of engineering principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the office service areas.

Responsibilities

• Attend utility district meetings, sometimes outside business hours.
• Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules for timely delivery.
• Coordinate with departments to align with client expectations.
• Manage select projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings; resolve questions.
• Review draft agreements and approve scope and fee.
