Job summary

Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. invites a motivated Student Intern to gain hands-on engineering experience on real-world water, wastewater, SCADA, and municipal infrastructure projects. You will work with experienced professionals on planning, design, fieldwork, and technology-driven solutions from May to August.

This internship offers exposure to CAD, data management, and engineering software, along with collaboration with engineers, operators, and municipal staff to build stronger communities.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in Civil, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering program.
• Basic understanding of water, wastewater, environmental, electrical, or utility systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and an interest in hydraulic modeling or SCADA platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, drafting, modeling, and technical support using CAD and related software.
• Support the preparation of engineering reports and planning documents.
• Conduct data collection, research, and technical analysis for project designs.
• Participate in fieldwork, site inspections, and utility observations under senior staff guidance.
