Job summary

SEH is seeking a Wastewater Intern to join our Water/Wastewater team in the Minnesota area. You will gain hands-on experience on municipal wastewater projects, both in the field and in the office, supporting project managers and engineers.

You'll develop skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, work with licensed engineers, and travel to nearby sites as needed during summer 2027. Ideal for undergraduates in Civil/Environmental/Wastewater programs seeking growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related undergraduate program.
• Ability to travel to project sites and attend team meetings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Join field staff for construction observation of lift stations, force mains, gravity sewers, and treatment facility improvements.
• Assist with wastewater project development, planning, design, and construction administration.
• Draft project information using AutoCAD for wastewater collection and treatment facilities.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors, utility operators, and clients to maintain effective communication.
• Gain hands-on experience with municipal wastewater systems and regulatory compliance projects.
• Contribute to projects while residing in/near St. Paul, MN.
