Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Texas from conception through completion. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities, and engage with public agencies and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing water/wastewater projects from conception through completion.
• Strong knowledge of design/construction for waterlines, storage, pump stations, and wastewater systems.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
• Ability to build and sustain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
• Lead and mentor project teams in engineering design, reports, calculations, permitting, and presentations.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and client agreements.
• Develop responses to RFQs, solicitations, and bond applications for utility districts and public sector clients.
• Attend client, municipal, and board meetings to present progress and provide technical expertise.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and community leaders.
• Support the technical and professional development of team members.
• Contribute to company-wide design standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
• Lead and mentor project teams in the preparation of engineering designs, reports, calculations, permitting documents, and presentations.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and client agreements.
• Develop responses to RFQs, solicitations, and bond applications for utility district and public sector clients.
• Attend client, municipal, and board meetings to present project progress and provide technical expertise.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and community leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing water and wastewater projects from conception through completion.
• Strong knowledge of design and construction practices for waterlines, storage tanks, pump stations, wastewater lines, lift stations, and force mains.
• Working knowledge of design and construction for water and wastewater systems, including treatment facilities.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and sustain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with overtime as needed.
